Emerging from years of international isolation, Libya’s beauty and diversity are still relatively unknown and, as a result, the country remains largely unspoilt by tourism. Visitors will enjoy exploring the bustling souks and Italian streets and squares of Tripoli and will be amazed by the spectacular remains of the Roman cities of Leptis Magna and Sabratha, testaments to ancient civilizations.
Tourists will also have plenty of opportunity to travel through the vast Saharan desert and camp amongst great sand seas, while appreciating Berber hospitality in western Libya.

4WD through desert to the Acacus mountains.

Day 6-7:
Exploring the Acacus: visit Wadi Anshal and Wadi Tashwinet, and view the spectacular rock art.

Across the Ubari Sand Sea, visiting extraordinary oases and coloured lakes.

Day 10:
Long drive north back to Gariyat via Qurda.

Day 11:
Head west to the caravan town of Ghadames.

Day 12:
Explore the bazaars and cool streets of Ghadames; to Jabel Nafusa, visit Troglodyte dwellings.

Day 13:
Visit hill villages of Jebel Nafusa and Qasr El-Haj; to Tripoli, visit old town and museum.

Day 14:
Full day at the immense Roman city of Leptis Magna.

Day 15:
End Tripoli.
